A pair of passes to the Andrew Johnson Impeachment Trial. The first is a standard example black print on yellow card stock with "GALLERY" in red overprint, "U.S. Senate, Impeachment of the President, Admit the Bearer, May 13th 1868", 3-3/4" x 2-7/8". The second is a very rare generic pass to the "Senate of the United States", Admit Mr. (not filled in) To The Building, March, 13, 1868, 5" x 3". Like all trial passes, both are signed in type by the Sergeant-at-Arms, George F. Brown. March 13, 1868, was the day the trial was scheduled to begin. We only fine one comp, Heritage, LOT #38145, Nov 30, 2011, $3107.
