Framed Soldiers memorial, color printed by Currier and Ives, 1862 with impressive graphics. Beautiful artwork shows a spread-winged eagle above the furled American flag below which The Capitol and the firing on Ft. Sumter on either side of uniformed General George Washington. Below this and presented in three columns is the 123rd Regiment, Company and Penn. Volunteers. Images of Lincoln, Scott and McClellan head each columns. The lower section indicates Engagements, Muster In and Muster Out dates. 16" x 20" sight, VG.Likely owned by David D. Clowes who enlisted on 8/9/1862 into "I" Co. PA 123rd Infantry and was Mustered Out on 5/13/1863 at Harrisburg, PA (check mark by his name).
