Acme News Pictures, Wire Photo, 9" x 6-1/2", July 12, 1938, shows Jewish young people marching in a demonstration as the British soldiers stand in ready. The news clip from the back, "Demonstrations signal start of Jewish-Arab warfare, Tel Aviv, Palestine - These first pictures to reach the United States since the outbreak of the bloody warfare between the Jews and Arabs in Palestine, which has caused a virtual state of civil war and has brought death and injuries to hundreds, show the demonstration of Jewish youth in Tel Aviv against the hanging of of Ben Josef, the first Jew to be executed in Palestine in 1900 years, This picture shows the start of the demonstration with Jewish youth passing the British soldiers in trucks."
