Highly unusual both as to content and style of writing. Single sheet (blank reverse) letter boldly penned from “Winnsborough, Hotel Fairfield, So. Car., Feb. 17, 1860” to Isaac Leeser: “You will discharge a duty you owe to the GOD WHO FEEDS YOU by bringing out to this place all the means necessary to publish a small daily paper to be called: ‘MT. ZION GLOBE’ with the motto ‘LIGHT FREE, LOVE HOLY, HONOUR SACRED…,THE GOD OF TRUTH, JUSTICE AND MERCY IS MY WITNESS, PRIEST AND KING’”…signed by “Thomas McCullough Hale.” Unique style of writing and capitalizing each letter of each individual word of those titles is quite distinctive!
