Lot of three fancy printed items; all: “COMMEMORATING THE COMPLETION OF THE NEW TRANSLATION OF THE HOLY SCRIPTURES” (the variations of same printed on each) issued by the: “JEWISH PUBLICATION SOCIETY OF AMERICA” (also printed in vari-styles on each). For a DINNER sponsored by that society at the Hotel Astor, NY Jan. 22, 1917. Includes: (1) fancy printed (in script) invitation to the dinner and “…to meet the members of the board of editors of the new bible translation and members of the committee on Jewish Classics” 4 ½ x 5 ½. Exc. +. (2) Large 6 x 10 three page printed list being the “Alphabetical List of All Guests” on page 2 and “SEATING OF GUESTS” on page 3 showing each table and names as well as the “Speaker’s Table.” Light aging. Two small ink stains (fading) on title page…(3) 5 x 7 folding “MENU” for that dinner with fancy title page and seal of the society (noted that it was handled by the “Eisenberg Catering Co.”). Exc. +…Included with these three items is an original 1917 5 x 7 photographic print of the committee of seven members of that new translation seated around a conference table with piles of books and documents before them.
