Superb original 1918 war effort poster issued by: “THE JEWISH WELFARE BOARD.” Large Jewish star in center and bright blue huge headlines “CIVILIANS…WHEN WE GO THROUGH THIS WE NEED ALL THE HELP AND COMFORT YOU CAN GIVE” Large 24 x 35. At bottom: “United War Work Campaign…Week of Nov. 11, 1918.” Illustration by Jewish artist [signed] Sidney H. Riesenberg depicting World War I soldiers in combat in the trenches in France. Superb condition. Has been professionally backed with thin canvas to permanently preserve. Would be difficult to find a poster of that period in better condition. Exc. to almost mint.
