Morgan” 1p. folio, November 11, 1891, Office of Indian Affairs, Washington, D.C., being a “LICENSE TO TRADE WITH INDIANS”, and reads “Be it known that H.C. Adams of Sigourney, Iowa trading under the name and firm of H.C. Adams having filed his application before me for a license to trade with the Navajo tribe of Indians at the following named place within the boundaries of the country occupied by said Indians, viz: Fort Defiance, N.M. and having filed with me a bond in the penal sum of Ten Thousand Dollars...[he] is hereby authorized to carry on the business of trading with the said tribe...” VG.
