COLLINS, Eddie (1887-1951) Baseball hall of famer who played for Philadelphia and Chicago before working in management with the Boston Red Sox. As a player he hit .333 over 25 seasons and stole an incredible 743 bases including 6 twice in one game. Printed Red Sox Contract Signed, “Edward T. Collins” 1p. quarto, April 13, 1940, for the right to provide contracts to members of the Scranton Baseball Club. With Official Commissioners stamps. Fine.
