The Spectator , was published in London by essayists Joseph Addison and Sir Richard Steele from March 1, 1711, to Dec. 6, 1712. It succeeded The Tatler, which Steele had launched in 1709. In its aim to “enliven morality with wit, and to temper wit with morality,” The Spectator adopted a fictional method of presentation. This issue is October 15, 1712. plus ... The Post-Boy was established in 1702 by William Bonny. This issue is October 30, 1722. All three are single sheet issues, foxing.
