THE PENNSYLVANIA GAZETTE, Phila., Jan. 28, 1768 Taking most of the front page is "Letter XII" "from a Farmer in Pennsylvania, to the Inhabitants of the British Colonies" beginning: "My dear Countrymen, some states have lost their liberty by particular accidents, but this calamanty is generally owing to the decay of virtue ... " It continues with terrific firebrand comments on Amenca's troubles with England, and is signe in type: A Farmer. The letters from "A Farmer" were written by John Dickinson, and helped furnish a constitutional basis for the opposition to the trade acts levied against the colonies by the English parliament. This was the last of the series. Folio-size, 4 pages, in very good condition.
