PENNSYLVANIA CHRONICLE, AND UNIVERSAL ADVERTISER, Ph'la., Nov. 14, 1768; On the fourth page under "Williamsburgh" is a report about the arrival of the "Right Hon. Norborne Baron de Botetourt" the L'eutenant and Governor General of the Virginia colony. Has details about the ceremonies and celebrations marking his arrival, plus an address of the Council of Virginia, with de Botetourt's gracious reply. The fifth page has an ad reading in part: "To be Sold for Cash A likely Negro Man ... lifewise a Negro Wench, about fourteen years of age " A report from "Philadelphia" mentions the arrival of Mrs. Rachel Wilson described as an "eminent Preacher among the Friends ", with a few details about her visit. Also a report about a man who was rescued after being lost at sea for a month, with some details about his survival methods. Another page has five ship ads, each with a woodcut of a ship. Detailed business ad on the backpage for a manufacturer of fire engines. Quarto-size, 4 pgs., occasional foxing. Untrlmmed at the bottom and the right.
