Printed broadside titled "General Orders!" and issued by order of "His Excellency the Commander in Chief, having received a request from Major-General Dearborn .... ," Boston, July 18, 1814, 15-3/4 x 8-l/4 in. Ordering a detachment of "200 Artillerists and 900 Infantry ... to remain in the service of the United States for the term of three months ... that Detachments be made ... from the 1st, 2d, 3d, 5th, 7th, 10th, 11th, and 12th Divisions of the Militia .... " The order is bro­ken down into great detail and signed in print by Adjutant­General John Brooks. Overall toning and light foxing; uneven margin at lower left affects nothing. About fine.
