Bogart, Humphrey - Bow tie, Handkerchief, and Cards. From Humphrey Bogart's personal wardrobe: a black silk adjustible bow tie with white dots, and an ecru silk dress handkerchief with plaid, bronze trim, 21” x 20". These two items with provenance from Doug Weigand, owner of A Star Is Worn. Accompanied by a deck of Hamilton cards in the original red and dullgold box. The cards were part of the estate of Verita ("'Pete") Peterson Thompson, who claimed to be Bogie's lover, friend, and confidante, as well as his toupee-maker and hairdresser. According to Pete, she and Bogie used to drink and play cards at her house in Burbank. A letter of provenance from Richard Wilson of Norma's Jeans is included.
