A finely carved and decorated shell presented to Lieut. A. E. Bartlett. Front side bears a folk art eagle holding a shield with the inscription: "To Lieut. A. E. Bartlett. U.S. Navy. Cavitt. P. I. May. 9. 1919" the base of the shell is signed "From, E. DE. LOS SANTOS C.M.M. U.S. NAVY. The back of the shell bares an art nueovo style flower. The entire body of the shell has a background that is stippled. Ht: 13.5"
