Walking stick, 38" in length, bearing from top down, a carved duck's head, from the mouth of duck's head extends the body of the cane with carved 8-½" lizard, wrapping around second quarter of cane. Underneath is a leopard decorated carved 12" snake, wrapping around remainder of cane. Southern folk art canes with such decoration and paint are highly desirable. Patina is consistent with age, c. late 19th century. Fine.
