A very rare cabinet card by Theodore Wiseman, showing the infamous Andersonville prison camp, with rows upon rows of overcrowded prisoners living in deplorable conditions. The verso of the card states that this image was taken on Aug. 17, 1864, and shows the camp from the north-east angle of the stockade. Very slight staining, overall very good condition. A rare and desirable image.
