Lynch, 2p. quarto, Philadelphia, January 21, 1861, with small sketch of Uncle Sam & Sotuh Carolina in aa boxing match, it reads in part: “...I see that Georgia has left the Union, making 5 states in all. If they keep leaving in this style, there will soon be enough to make a pretty respectable confederacy. These are gloomy times indeed. Long faces are all the rage...” VG.
