A rare war-date printed, 16pp. 12mo., printed booklet, entitled in gold lettering, "Hints To A Soldier", by Rev. E. W. Hooker, D. D., published the American Tract Society and presented to the soldiers by the United States Christian Commission…PLUS; a eight page paper wraps booklet, entitled: "How It Was Blotted Out", also printed by the American Tract Society. Both were owned by Pvt. William H. Harrington, Co. H, 7th Connecticut Vols. who fought throughout the war at the battles of James Island, Fort Wagner and Olustee. Recently obtained from the family of Pvt. Harrington in Connecticut.
