Rare train schedule to bring mourners to view Grant's body at the Albany funeral held August 4th and 5th, 1885. This schedule is for a train to start in Syracuse and end in Albany, making several stops along the way to board mourners. Grant had three funerals, the first at Mt. McGregor, where he died, the second was held in Albany, and the third and final funeral was held in New York City where Grant's body was lay to rest. This train schedule measures 6" X 11 ½" and is in excellent condition save for some loss at the very top edge, which does not affect any text. Like President Lincoln's funeral 20 years earlier American's wanted to view the body of their Union hero.
