Clarke, Commission Merchant and Negro Broker," Atlanta, December 23, 1862, receipt to "Joseph Silver," in the amount of "Fourteen Hundred Dollars," for "one Negro Slave named Lavennid, about Seventeen years old." Very unusual to see these receipts from Georgia.
