Partly-printed Charleston Insurance and Trust Company fire insurance policy, 8" x 13", 4 pp., December 20, 1850. This document, issued to James Armstrong for a reasonable $20 premium, states: ..."Against loss or damage by fire, to the amount of Two thousand Dollars on a three Story Brick and tinned House & a One Story Brick & tinned Kitchen attached Situated at No 40 Market Street as described in after No. 5012 filed in this office". It is signed by John H. Honour who designed the Honour City Post of Charleston stamp and his brother L.P. Honour submitted two designs for the Confederate flag. Some stains and light foxing, else Fine condition.
