Very rare terra cotta Civil War period c. 1864 small vase; height 5¼ inches. Deep brown color with very high relief design both sides of portrait bust of Lincoln over riband "A. LINCOLN," surrounded with a black colored high relief oak leaf and acorn wreath; a small American eagle and shield also with black coloring in high relief above the Lincoln bust. Fancy shaped; all one piece extremely fine to almost proof condition.
