A Pair of Patriotic Civil War Paper Ribbon, "Our Country And Our Flag - The Union At All Hazards," Printed in red and blue, this exciting paper ribbon, 8" x 2.75," depicts a sailor with a hammer in his right hand, is driving in a nail, securing the Flag. The inscription reads "Our Country and Our Flag-The Union At all Hazards." The message is clearly a refusal to lower the flag, or by extension, a refusal to give up or compromise. Printed for the 1864 Presidential Campaign. Light toning at extreme margins, fine.
