Two 19th Century theater playbill's, one announcing that famed actor Edwin Booth will be staring in "Macbeth" at the Boston Theatre. Measures 5 7/8" X 25", excellent save for some loss at the very top right corner. The second playbill is from the Boston Museum theater, dated Friday March 13, 1863. It measures 5 7/8" X 14 ½", and in excellent condition. It does not star Booth, but announces at the bottom of the playbill that "Our American Cousin" will be performed on Saturday. Both playbill's have a connection to the Lincoln Assassination…Edwin Booth was the brother of Assassin John Wilkes Booth, and "Our American Cousin" was the play President Lincoln attended the night John Wilkes Booth assassinated him. A fine pair.
