Broadside, "Funeral Procession of President Lincoln, As It Started From The Depot In Philadelphia, April 22d, 1865," by J.H. Johnson's Card and Job Printing Office of Philadelphia, PA, Very Fine. 9-1/4" x 5-1/2," fine. Four verses of this funeral dirge, honoring the slain President, to be sung to the tune of "Star of Evening, Glory on High." The first verse reads, "Softly the light of the parting day, Fell on the dark bier where our chieftain lay, Casting a halo of glory around; As he lay in his last, deep slumber profound, Fresh dewy flowers around him were spread, Which shed a sweet fragrance over the dead; Tear drops fell fast and the heartfelt sigh went upward, and angels looked down from on high." Minor foxing, some paper loss at lower right corner, otherwise, nice and original.
