Most (just 4 c. 1880s) quite large and with other attachments to them. (11 x 16 to 14 x 17; just one 7 x 9). Itemizing imports of various goods of foreign countries (mostly from Europe); many well-known merchants' names including two full documents for the famed Guggenheims of Phila. "16 cases cotton embroidery" (the original business of that family soon to be famous in western mining!); another for "19 drums of caustic soda." Other names "Henry Cohen"… "Hirsh & Brother;" "A. Frohmann & Co;" "Rosengarten & Sons;" "Loeb & Schoenfeld;" "Sam'l Lehmann;" etc. Imports cover wide variety of material, including: "hair nets"…great many "casks of gin"…"cases of Silver and Gold paper"…"case of Bone Handles for Umbrellas…two cases of Segars"…"large order for various barrels, kegs and cases of medicinal drugs, etc." Condition generally exc. some wear and just a few with minor tattering on bottom margin or fold. Some of those forms have very displayable headings with quaint illustrations of sailing vessels, etc. Entire collection
