HENRY MAYER GOLDFOGLE (BORN N.Y. 1856) U.S. CONGRESSMAN 1901-1921. 4 page (7 ½ x 11) leaflet with bold headline "JOINT RESOLUTION…concerning and relating to the Treaty between the U.S. and Russia…in the House of Reps Jan. 18, 1909…MR. GOLDFOGLE INTRODUCED THE FOLLOWING JOINT RESOLUTION [etc. etc.]" (all in the heading). Print size very large and double spaced; although no U.S. Gov't or other printer signature it is presumed issued by a Jewish political organization and circulated widely to interested parties. Specifically devoted to the refusal of Russia "…to recognize or honor the passports of the U.S…held by American citizens on account that such citizens were of Jewish faith…" A practicing attorney in New York, Bill Goldfogle was also a judge of the Municipal Court and President of Congr.
