Eleanor was active in a wide range of liberal and humanitarian projects.Typed Letter Signed, "Eleanor," on White House stationary, 1pp., September 9, 1942, fine. Writing to Agnes, Roosevelt comments "the whole Assembly was a real success. .... I am sure you will get a copy of the proceedings and a copy of the declaration which was adopted at the end of the Assembly, but this is just to tell you how much we missed you."The International Student Assembly met in Washington September 2-5, 1942. With 37 nation's represented, they declared their opposition to Nazism and pledged its defeat.
