Two politicians write to chairman of wall street stock brokerage company, W.E. Hutton and Company. BUSH, George (b. 1924) 41st President of the United States. Director of the CIA 1976-77; Vice President under Reagan 1981-1989. He defeated Dukakis in 1988 with 54% of the popular vote and 426 electoral votes. He guided the nation through the Invasion of Panama and the capture of Noriega, and the Persian Gulf War of 1990-1991. During his administration Communism collapsed. Typed Card Signed, "Gg," as president November 9, 1989, on official presidential card stock, thanking Hutton for his visit at the White House. Plus, Typed Letter Signed, "Thomas Dewey," as Governor on official letterhead, December 15, 1948 thanking Hutton for his support. The preceding month, and for the second failed presidential run, Dewey was defeated in an upset by Truman.
