Black Head Meerschaum Smoking Pipe, 5-1/2” bowl to stem, Fine. The bowl shows a very detailed carving, but what is outstanding is the natural coloring of the face. Simply a striking reddish brown patina on the cheeks and wooley hair, set this piece apart from others we have sold. Contained in its original case, Benson Cardiff, c 1880.
