A rare Colorado Grand Army of the Republic calling card from the Abraham Lincoln Post, No. 8, Denver, Colorado that solecists new members while naming the post's officers from their commander E[ugene] K. Stimson who first served as private in the 1st Mass. Vols and was POW at the battle of Blackburn's Ford, Virginia, later a private in the 1st New York Light Artillery, to quartermaster J. L. Pochin who was a member of Fremont's Missouri Body Guard. The card goes on to mention that they meet on every Friday evening at the: "Cor. of 14th and Latimer, Streets," while their GAR's mission statement is printed on the verso. Also, included is a finely illustrated and printed think cardboard advertising premium for the First National Bank of Grand Junction, Colorado wit a great view of Mount Garfield on the front.
