Another field printed Confederate document, partly-printed, 1p. oblong 8vo., printed especially for ALLEN'S CAVALRY DIVISION, showing the effective strength of Col. (acting Brigadier General) James Hagan's brigade. Matthews Bluff, S. C., Jan. 29, 1865, including the number of horses and guns. Notes in the column on the right, read, in part: "…one lieut. sick & one sent on scout, ten men on a scout, 3 detailed as couriers, one absents without leave…2 guns bought…one pistol sold…". Boldly signed by JAMES HAGAN, as colonel commanding. Expected wear, else VG.
