SCHUYLER, PHILIP (1733-1804). Soldier; Statesman. Schuyler was elected to the Continental Congress in 1775, and served until he was appointed a major general of the Continental Army in June. General Schuyler took command of the Northern Department, and planned the Invasion of Quebec (1775). Cut Signature. Mounted to another card measuring 3 3/8” x 2”. “Ph. Schuyler, M. General”. Fine signature with rank.
