NOTICE issued by the Frederick County Sheriif, advising that a runaway slave named Joshua has been comnitted to the county jail ... and will be “sold for his imprisonment fees if the owner does not come forward.” Also, 50 DOLLARS REWARD for a likely Negro boy named Sandy, about 17 ... His mother lives at Mr. Stewart’s, Ann Arundle ... his father lives on sparrow point ... he was seen a few days ago with his father, John, who will no doubt conceal him. ... He will doubtless endeavor attempt to pass for free. ...” . ... also, May 28, 1814, 9issue has a 2” round hole pg3/4.
