Newspaper, a complete and original issue of the Charleston Daily Courier, April 21, 1862, 2 pp, framed with 2-sided glass, VG. In the mast head is "Charleston S.C. CONFEDERATE STATES OF AMERICA..." perhaps the only Confederate newspaper to state define the new country. Early and disappointing war reports include " Capture of Island No. 10 - Comm. Foote", Fredericksburg and Falmouth Occupied By The Enemy", "the Enemy Attacking New Orleans", "The Battle At Shiloh, The Second Days fight" ... and more.
