1864 CSA Muster Roll - SIGNED By 96 CSA Officers

Two lined columnar ledger sheets, 13-1/2" x 17", with heading "We the subscribed commissioned Officers C.S.A. do hereby acknowledge to have received of Maj. H.T. Massengale QM, the articles of clothing opposite our name and having paid him the cost herein expressed ...." The columns name seven articles of clothing, the date and the signatures of those officers named. The roll starts October 6, 1864 and continues through November 7, 1864. Each of Ninety-six offers has individually signed the roll. Great document for research. Here are seven examples of the 96 listed. Examples:M.D. Nix mustered into "E" Co. GA 34th Infantry. Weems was commissioned into "B" Co. GA 10th Infantry, wounded 6/29/1862 Savage's Station, VA., wounded 7/2/1863 Gettysburg, PA.William A. Batchelor as 1st Sgt. into "I" Co. GA 48th Infantry; wounded 7/1/1862 Malvern Hill, VA., wounded 7/2/1863 Gettysburg, PA., wounded 8/21/1864 Petersburg, VA. Surrendered on 4/9/1865 at Appomattox Court House, VA.J H. Allen on 7/8/1861 he mustered into "H" Co. GA 13th Infantry. Rose to Major. POW 9/22/1864 Fisher's Hill, VA. Paroled 1/17/1865 Point Lookout, MD (exchanged), Paroled 2/28/1865 Randolph County, GA.William F. Hawes, enlisted as a Major (date unknown), POW.Samuel Lindsay enlisted as a Captain into AR 9th Infantry and shown as POW. Patrick Lavin was commissioned into "G" Co. TN 15th Infantry and shown as captured. No muster out date.
