Extremely unique artifact being a tapered mahogany toned wood obelisk, 16"T x 5W" x 5L". The base has gold stenciled words, "CSA", "1896", "CSA" and "CAMP 1". The stencil is also on the obelisk, "R.E. LEE", "VALOR", "HONOR", and "RICHMOND". Accompanying this is a cabinet card photograph ID'd in pencil as "Cousin Daniel Osborn. 1896". The photo is by Richmond Photographer, Campbell and Co. The seller bought this in 1988 from a Virginia Dealer who claimed he bought it from the Osborn family and that Daniel Osborn bought it at the 1896 Richmond Confederate Reunion. The 1896 Richmond Reunion was the sixth and the first in Richmond. Fine.
