Mounted albumen of Maj. Gen. George G. Meade and Generals of the Army of the Potomac, in the vicinity of Washington, D.C., June 1865. The mount IDs the item as "Incidents of the War by A. Gardner from a negative of W.M. Smith. The lower mount has lost about half the caption. Image shows minor cracking and large stain lower 20%. The image was mailed as noted on the reverse with address, stamps and date (May 4, 1959).
