A pair of separate documents , both in the hand of J(ohn) S. Kennard to include; Autograph Document Signed "J(ohn) S. Kennard, Lieut-Cmdg", CS Steamer Isondiga, St. Augustine Creek, March 6th, 1864, to Flag Officer W(illiam) W. Hunter, 1pp. In large part, "I herewith enclose a charge and it's specifications against 1st Asst Engineer G.W. City and request that you forward the same to the Navy Department ..." plus, Autograph Document, "Charge and Specification of charge preferred by 1st Lieut J.S. Kennard, CS N. Commander CS Stm Isondiga against 1st Asst Engineer G.W. City .... near the Savannah river was on the 4th day of March 1864, when ordered to get-up steam, found to be drunk and, in consequence, incapable of taking charge of the engines .... " He continues with a listing of four witnesses.
