Framed Promotion Document for Bradley H. Williams, partially printed, 16" x 10" (sight) dated September 23, 1861. Williams is appointed to Corporal (light ink) in the First Massachusetts Volunteers Cavalry. The document is signed by future Brig General Robert Williams and Captain G.W. Batchelder. Col. Williams was a regular army officer and was recommended to the governor by Gen. Winfield Scott.
