Baltimore citizen's letter, 2pp., datelined Frederick, Md., June 14th 1862 to Hon. H.W. Hoffman, Collector, Baltimore Md. concerning a Martinsburg, Virginia merchant who is charged with disloyalty. In part, "It seems that George Getzendanner, trading at Martinsburg, applied to the Provost for a pass. Mr. Lewis H. Dill, who was present, entered a protest charging Getzendanner with disloyalty. Getzendanner did not bring vouchers, refused to take the oath and has gone to Martinsburg. ... Getzendanner it is admitted, wanted to go with Brad. Johnson's party to Balti. in April 1861 & was only prevented by his friends ..."
