A professional field sketch, "Camping in the Woods, Sketched by W.K. Russell", 6-1/2" x 10" drawn by William K. Russell who William K. Russell on 12/7/1861 mustered into "E" Co. NY 22nd Infantry and was Mustered Out on 6/19/1863 at Albany, NY. Russell sends the accompanying letter, "Sir, I send this sketch in woods thinking it might prove interesting to the readers of your Weekly. It represents how we sheltered ourselves in the woods near Falmouth till we got orders to return in our camp, Wm. K. Russell, Co. E, 22nd NYV."
