Music Sheet with a dramatic front cover shows General Sheridan at a full gallop leading his army into battle. Published 1865 by Chas. W.A. Trumpler, 7th & Chestnut St. in Philadelphia, 1865, 8pp., under-trimmed. Likely a depiction of the Battle of Cedar Creek, Virginia with General Phil Sheridan riding Rienzi (a.k.a. Winchester) onto the field of battle to rally the Vermont troops and turn the tide of battle. This battle occurred on 19 October, 1864.
