Scarce Confederate PASS, 6-3/4" x 7-1/2", Camp Roddey's Escort, Near Alabama, April 26th, 1865 to Capt. J.T. Parrish, AA Gen'l Roddey's Brigade. In full, "Captain, I respectfully apply for permission to you to go to Tuscaloosa, Ala to get hats and clothing for myself, Lt. Hinstin, and Daniel Hinstin of my company. We have leather and clothing at that unit. I ask permission to be urgent in this message, ten days." It is written and signed by "R.B. Mason, Roddey's Escort." It is docket on the reverse.
