The 4-page Union Soldier's letter was written by William A. Kreps who was 18 years old when he enlisted on 9/14/64 as a Private. On that date he mustered into Co. G, 15th Pennsylvania Cavalry. He mustered out on 6/21/65 at Nashville, TN.
