P.V signs the voucher "Will please pay to SULLIVAN'S Child the amount due me from the State of Pennsylvania for my pay ....". ... plus. A Check issued by the Department of Soldiers' Orpahans, Harrisburg, Jan. 22, 1869 to John W. Claghorn & Fear Nothern Home, Three Thousand Three Hundred, Fifty Two dollars ... for the education and maintenance, including clothing of Soldier's Orpahans at the Northern Home ...."
