Great Collection of Confederate Veteran Related Postal History. A great twentieth century collection of eight (8) postal related Confederate Veteran covers and post cards. First, a circa 1930 post card of the Confederate monument at Stone Mountain, entitled: "Davis, Lee, Jackson and Color Bearer in Master Model for Central Group" with a great manuscript inscription by the sender, reading, "Good Men in this Group!!" Two, a rare Civil War date Confederate patriotic cover, imprinted: "Southern Rights. Death Before Dishonor. Bold, But Wary." Used to commemorate the beginning of the Civil War postmarked: "Charleston, S. C., April 12, 1961, 9:00 A. M." Three, an empty postal cover cancelled: "Twenty - Seventh Reunion United Confederate Veterans, Washington, D. C. June 4 - 8, 1917." Free franked: "Wm. Emerson, M. C.," addressed: "Mr. Herbert W. Hill, Music Industries, Chamber of Commerce of U. S. - New York." Four a circa 1939 postal cover from Jefferson Davis Soldier's Home, Biloxi, Miss. addressed to Hon. Fleet Halthorn, Poplarville, Miss." with enclosure. Five, an unused United Daughters of the Confederacy, Covington, Georgia, postcard. Six, a United Confederate Veteran's cover, 1954 sent by: "W. N. 'Jack' McGee, adjutant. Mississippi Division Sons of Confederate Veterans," addressed: "Mr. Andrew G. Smith, Brookhaven, Miss. no enclosure. Plus seven and eight being two Confederate Stamp Alliance covers. One embossed with "Confederate Stamp Alliance, CSA, 1938" seal post marked in 1953 (no enclosure) plus a CSA Stamp Alliance cover sent in 1959 with enclosure. (10+ items with included enclosures)
