Union civilian 2pp letter with original cover, written on “Western Pennsylvania Rail Road Company” coporate letterhead, to J.B. Hutchinson by W.H. Kelly. Datelined: Blairsville, August 12, 1864, in part “Your letter of the 9th came dully to hand with the order for $25.00. The recruiting matter is moving on pretty well. I think there will be no doubt but the quota can be filled, but we will have to raise a little more money. ... This is a good move and if you could pick up a man and put him for for one year, it clears you for that length of time. It will not cost you more than $50 extra. ....”
