Three piece group of Hubert Schuelter which includes an Autograph Letter Signed “Hubert Schuelter”1pp., Sept. 30, 1929, to an autograph seeker. In part, “Enclosed find the card with my autograph as you requested. I wish to correct a mistake .. regarding my name which is Hubert instead of Henry ...”... plus, Hubert provides a manuscript card, “Blessed are they that answered Lincoln’s call, when Jeff Davis threatened our Country’s fall. All of them fought under God’s Command. Served your children this glorious band by Hubert Schuelter Co. a first Wisc Cav. Taken part in Jeff Davis Capture. Age 82, Potosi Wis. September 23, 1929.” ... plus, three column newspaper report of the part Schuelter played in the Davis’ capture, including photo of Schuelter and Davis.
