Reprint of the first number of his famous almanac series “Poor Richard, 1733. An almanack for the year of Christ 1733, being the first after leap year” by Richard Saunders. This reprint, c. 1849 by George D. Appleton of Philadelphia, 30p. octavo, some of which are uncut, with several advertisement leaves in addition to the original text of the almanac. The core fo the almanac is the daily entries, given in tabular form on one page per month; they list weather, phases of the moon, times of sunrise and sunset, stars and planets, and so on. Other pages give information about history, monarchs, courts, religious meetings, roads and fairs. Fine.
